The primary source of funds for PTSA's are the membership dues. We encourage everyone to become a member to help Meadowlark, Colorado and National PTA.
The real working capital of a PTSA lies in its members, not in its treasury.
Fundraising is not a primary function of PTSA.
Children will never be exploited or used as fundraisers. The funds we do raise are to advocate for our students and students across Colorado and the Nation.
During our first year as a PTSA unit we will be focusing on community building.
Below is a list of what we are doing this year. Subject to change.
Ongoing Fundraisers
Premier Members Credit Union - Are you a member of Premier Members Credit Union or looking for a new place to bank? Meadowlark PTSA has partnered with Premier Members Credit Union and the LIFE (Loan Interest for Education) program they offer as a "no cost" way to raise money for our school community. Here is how it works:
-If parents, teachers, students, family members mention ‘LIFE’ when they get a low-cost PMCU loan (mortgage, auto loan, HELOC, credit card etc.) and ask for the $$$ to be assigned to Meadowlark through the LIFE program, Meadowlark PTSA will start receiving funds.
-If parents, teachers, students, family members, already have loans with PMCU all they have to do is contact Premier Members Credit Union and ask for that existing loan to be assigned to LIFE and Meadowlark….and money goes to the PTSA
-There is no cost to the Loan applicant (new or existing) to participate in LIFE – just benefits for Meadowlark!
-The first school to receive $10,000 through the LIFE program receives an additional $2,500
-20 mortgage loans from families and staff from your school would generate $6,000 and 51 auto loans from families and staff from your school would generate approximately $4,000 That’s $10,000 when added together! See flyer for more information or email Jessica Diamond at fundraising@mavsptsa.org
Amazon Smile -Our AmazonSmile account has finally updated!! Now when you shop on Amazon, 0.5% on every eligible AmazonSmile purchases, which adds up quickly, goes to PTSA! Amazon Smile also works when using Amazon Fresh as well. Kroger Grocery Cards - With all of the delicious family meals you’re cooking, you can shop for groceries and support our school at the same time! Purchase your reloadable King Sooper Gift Cards for $5.00, and 5% goes back to the PTSA. You get 2x fuel points as a bonus! Stop in the front office and ask Genevieve for yours today.
Oral Care Recycling: I know it sounds gross, but we want your oral care products! Yes, empty toothpaste boxes, toothbrushes ready to toss, empty toothpaste tubes, we'll take it! We get 2 cents per item. Do you work in a dental office? Can we come pick up your recyclables? We currently are getting a huge bag every month from Young Dentistry for Children in Louisville. Meadowlark Mingle: More information will be on the way shortly, but mark your calendars for Friday, May 18th from 4:30pm-7:00pm. We are excited to announce Meadowlark's inaugural signature event, the Meadowlark Mingle. The Meadowlark Mingle will be a carnival style community event with games, activities, food and fun! We are currently seeking a team of volunteers to help us make this an incredible event. Box Tops -Deadline submission is March 1st! Please submit your Box Tops now! We would love to surpass our November submission amount of $226 this go around. Email Jessica Diamond fundraising@mavsptsa.org for more info.
Milk Caps for Moola - A great program through Longmont Dairy. If you receive delivery from Longmont Dairy, collect your l milk caps. Send them in with your student or there will be a box to dispense them. If you are interested in helping with this great program please contact Jessica Diamond fundraising@mavsptsa.org.
Mabel’s Labels - Order your kid’s labels HERE. A portion of the proceeds will also go back to the PTSA. These are fabulous, quality labels that you can reuse and are long lasting. Plus, we’ll help to keep the lost and found to a minimum!
Benevity - Does your workplace use Benevity for corporate giving? We have currently submitted all the required paperwork to become a certified charitable giving organization with Benevity and are now up and running. A few of the organizations that use Benevity giving are Google, Microsoft, Coca-Cola, Ameriprise, Apple and AstraZeneca. You can check out more information HERE
